This year we are going to run our Club cross country Championship 2011 as the first Turkey Trot Race. The turkey trot series will continue with a Mile and 800m race on the track. (Note that these latter two events are not Club Championship events). The details are as follows:

Turkey Trot Series
RACE 1 - incorporating Lucan Harriers' Club cross country Championship (3 Mile Men, 2 Mile Ladies)
o Location: Griffeen Park
o Time & Date: Sunday 20th November @ 10am

· RACE 2 – Mile Race (Both Men, Ladies)
o Location: Club Track
o Time & Date: Tuesday 6th December @ 7pm

· RACE 3 – 800m (Both Men, Ladies)
o Location: Club Track
o Time & Date: Tuesday 13th December @ 7pm

The Entry for Fee for the Turkey Trots is €10 per head. The final Day/Date for collecting this is on the morning of the 20th November before the Cross Country Race. You can give the money to Henry Langton or Freda between now and that Sunday. We are going to pick the teams for all races after the Cross Country Race. If you haven’t paid up, you won’t be put on a team. We understand that not everybody will be able to make the three races so we are going to have Four on a team and the top three to Scorers on each night. If there is a tie, then it is decided by the fourth Scorer. It will be marked on Finishing Places and not Times, one place could make all the difference!!

We are organising a festive treat for the Prize giving on the last Tuesday night of Training before Christmas; Tuesday 20th Dec. There will be Mince Pies, Teas/Coffees and Non-Alcoholic Mulled Wine. We will also have Spot Prizes, Prizes for the Top Three Ladies and Men and also the Top Teams on both sides.

Our chairperson, Gerry Reihill, has arranged a 10% discount in Runways shop on Parnell Street for all Lucan Harriers members. All you have to do is tell the staff that you are a member of Lucan Harriers to avail of this offer.

Seniors can give theirs to their respective captain. Juveniles can give theirs to the coaches. The fees for 2010 are as follows: Seniors EURO 85; Juniors EURO 50; Family EURO 120; Mini Marathon EURO 40.
